Christmas and December Audio Book Specials 2009

decsavingsThe Christmas and Holiday Season is upon us and this month we have decided to focus all of our audio book discounts and specials on Christmas Audio Book titles.  On our monthly discounts page we have added 6 Christmas titles ranging from about $7 to $15.  We have also reactivated our Christmas coupon code where you can take 20% off of your order.  This could even be used on the purchase of these already discounted titles. The coupon code is xmasrocks and should be used at checkout when you have added all the titles you want to buy.  Since it is a one time use coupon that would be the way to save the most money.

The Christmas Audio Books page is also accessible on the CreateTimeAudio website where you can find even more Christmas related audio books.  Christmas tends to be so commercialized these days and the Christmas Stories highlighted in these specials and lists have a common theme.  The true meaning of the Christmas Holiday Season is not about gifts and parties it is about family and living a meaningful life.  Everyone has their favorite Christmas Time Story.  Though classics like A Christmas Carol will always resonate checking out new titles is always interesting because the stories bring the meaning to the way we live in the present.  A couple of good examples of that are The Christmas Train by David Baldacci and The Christmas Sweater by Glenn Beck.

Audible’s Cyber Monday Deal

Audible is offering a special for the Holiday season.  They made it available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday but the truth is that you can take advantage of this offer until December 16th, 2009.  For those of you who may not be familiar with Audible it is a downloadable audio book store that was acquired by Amazon back in 2008.audible

Though downloadable audiobooks can be purchased on a one off basis it seems more centered on subscription membership models for downloadable audio books.  Due to Amazon’s reach as well as Audible’s longer history in the audio book market it tends to have a very good selection of audio books particularly when they are newly released.

Audible offers monthly and annual plans ranging from $14.95 to $22.95 per month or $149.50 to $229.50 per year.  Their plan is based on the purchase of credits, one credit equals one audio book.  If you are an avid listener Audible is a great option.  My husband and I have had plans with Audible and have found it quite easy to use.  If you plan to move your purchases around you may find it more challenging so check the device compatibility on their website.  Here is their current 2009 Christmas special offer:

Save 50% for 3 months on Audiobooks & Get a $10 Coupon for your next purchase. Expires 12.16.09

Audio Book Savings for November 2009

martinacole The November audio book discounts page has been updated for a while now.  The month of November is almost over so I’m sorry for the late post.  It isn’t too late to take advantage of the savings on the particular titles.  There is a new author in the mix with Martina Cole who is a bestselling novelist in the UK.  She has written a hard-hitting story about gang life in London ala Sopranos in the Thriller Close.  This month you can get this audio book title for under $20.

Also as we head into Thanksgiving here in the US we tend to focus a lot of our attention on Family.  November is Family Stories month and in honor of that we are offering a special 20% off coupon family that you can use upon check out at our CreateTimeAudio.com store.  This is a one time use coupon so load up all the titles you are buying before checkout.  You can even use them to get more savings on the titles on our Audio Book Discounts page.

For me biographies are a great form of family story telling so I have identified that category on the site promotions but you can use the coupon for any title.  If you are doing any traveling this Thanksgiving Holiday listening to an easily downloaded audio book is definitely a way of keeping sane.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Save Big on Twilight Saga Audiobooks

twilightcoverI couldn’t help but post this so that Twilight fans could take advantage of SimplyAudioBooks 40% off on the Twilight Series tomorrow Friday November 20, 2009.  Simply AudioBooks is offering a series of special offers in honor of Christmas.  They call it the 25 Days of Christmas and are offering some form of savings on titles or shipping or authors.  It is late here on the East Coast but you may be able to still get today’s deal of 25% off Malcolm Gladwell titles.

The Twilight Saga is a phenomenon all to itself.  With the second movie opening at midnight here tonight it is hard to miss the excitement that has been created by Stephenie Meyer’s books.  As I discussed last month Vampire Stories are truly ageless and Stephenie Meyer has made it new again for this generation.  The current movie New Moon is the second in a series of 4 books in the Twilight Series featuring the romance between Edward the Vampire and Bella the mortal.

25 Days of Christmas, 25 Deals in 25 Days!

I will update you on any other deals that come my way to save on audio books during the holiday madness.
