Today Google reminded everyone that it is the 71st anniversary of the classic 1939 movie the Wizard of Oz.  I have fond memories of seeing the movie but also of reading the book by L. Frank Baum.  We have a few different offerings of this classic audio book.

As both a fan of poetry and audio books I wanted to highlight some of the poetry offerings of our downloadable audio book store.  This month is National Poetry Month in the United States.  This annual celebration of poetry was started back in 1996 by the Academy of American Poets.  Inspired by other monthly celebrations like Black History Month the month of April was chosen apparently for lack of competition from other celebrations.

littledorritsmI stumbled onto the WGBH series of Charles Dicken's Little Dorrit a few weeks ago.  I did not even know it was a series but I found it so interesting and entertaining I saw all 5 episodes which ended last night.
